Clocks, Cups and Comebacks at the Cinco Ranch Library Open
Five rounds, twenty-five minutes on the clock and three trophies. Congrats to champion David and runner-up Arnab, and thanks to everyone who played and shared their feedback!
Five Minutes on the Clock, a Whole Evening of Connection
Fast blitz, cold drinks, easy conversation, and a game that ended the only way a game should: a tipped king and a handshake. Thanks to Alan and Mila for a wonderful night!
Chess is the excuse. Community is the point.
Fulshear Community Chess Tournament
The boards stayed full from the first round to the last: sharp openings, grinding middlegames, nail-biting time scrambles, and plenty of proud handshakes.

What a weekend! Strategem Club members traveled to the Fulshear Library for the Open Community tournament, and the boards stayed full from the very first round to the last. Whether you play for the love of the game or the thrill of the clock, this one delivered both in equal measure.
The competition was fierce from board one down: sharp openings, grinding middlegames, more than a few nail-biting time scrambles, and the kind of hard-fought draws that leave both players walking away proud. Our club's players brought their A-game, and it showed in the final standings.
Great chess, great sportsmanship, and a great showing for the club. See you at the next tournament!
