SECTION-1: 7 Rounds Swiss; Game in 5 Minutes plus INCREMENT of 5 seconds per move (G/5;+5)

This is a USCF ONLINE RATED Tournament and will only influence USCF ONLINE RATINGS! Performance in this event will not influence OVER THE BOARD RATINGS!

Participating in this tournament requires joining a WebEx meeting at https://meetingsamer6.webex.com/meet/jay to ensure fair play. While on WebEx all participants are required to keep their device microphone and webcam ENABLED ON WEBEX!  All WebEx video and audio activity will be monitored for compliance with fair play. Participants MAY minimize distraction by silencing their own audio ONLY! 

By participating in this event the parent / guardian registering the participant is giving consent to have the participant monitored via video and audio on Cisco WebEx for the duration of the event. 

PLEASE REGISTER ON CHESS.COM (free online registration available) and kindly share your chess.com username to be invited to Strategem events on chess.com. Please include this information along with your USCF ID when submitting registration.

Important Details:

You do NOT need a club membership to Strategem to participate (in that case please select the ticket option for NON-MEMBERS ) , however you must be a current USCF member to play in this event. If you do not have a USCF membership, please set it up online with discounted rates from Jim prior to registerng. Please also be sure to renew your USCF Membership if its expired.

 

 

• Be present at https://meetingsamer6.webex.com/meet/jay by no later than 6:00 pm to check in with the TD. If prompted to install the Cisco WebEx Meetings App please do so. Your attendance will be verified with your chess.com username. Please save the above link by copying it for your reference when joining the event.
• You must register in advance online because we have a maximum capacity of 50 Scholastic participants.
• You may have a snack or sip on a drink while at the game but you may not leave the computer/tablet when your game is in progress! This will be a violation of rules to ensure fair play!
• NO SHOW WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR REFUNDS!
• If there is an odd number of players, then one player will receive a full point bye for that round.
• Points will be awarded for games as follows 1 Point for Win; 0.50 point for Draws; 0 point for Loss.
• For tied scores we have USCF recognized TIE-BREAK FORMULAS that we will rely on to determine the winners based on the TIEBREAK SCORES!
